Start with a Discovery Flight!
Our Discovery Flight is the best way to experience what it’s like to be an actual pilot. This one-time mini lesson allows you to get hands on flight experience that you can count towards your pilot license. Our FAA certified flight instructors will walk you through a pre-flight briefing, taxi, take-off, and landing.
Requirements
The FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight training at a Part 61 Flight School to prepare for the practical test. The national average for flight school training is 60 to 80 hours of flight training. To obtain a Private Pilot License, you must take a computerized knowledge test, an oral exam, and a physical flight test.
- Passport or birth certificate
- A person must be 16 years of age to fly solo and 17 years of age to be awarded a Private Pilot License.
- An agreement must be signed
- Participants coming from other flight schools, must work with Three Wing instructors
- Books available
- Physical (non-US citizens must go through the Alien Flight Program from the TSA)
